Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine is 10-15 minutes walk from Kamakura station.
From Tokyo Station
JR Yokosuka line: 55min to Kamakura Station.
JR Tokaido Line: transfer to the Yokosuka line at Ofuna Station.
From Shin-Yokohama Station
JR Yokohama line: transfer to the Yokosuka Line at Yokohama Station.
Yokohama City Subway: transfer to the Yokosuka Line at Yokohama Station.
From Odawara Station
JR Tokaido Line: transfer to the Yokosuka Line at Ofuna Station.
By Road,
From the Asahina Interchange (IC) on the Yokohama Yokosuka Road (横浜横須賀道路), follow Prefectural Highway 204 to Kamakura.
From Tokyo Area,
Kanagawa Route 1 Yokohane Line (横羽線) OR Coastal Route (湾岸線) of the Metropolitan Expressway (首都高速道路, Shuto Kosoku) to the Kariba IC. Follow the Yokohama Yokosuka Road to the Asahina IC.
From Osaka Area,
Tomei Expressway (東名高速道路) OR Meishin Expressway (名神高速道路) to the Yokohama IC. Follow the Yokohama Yokosuka Road to the Asahina IC via National Highway 16.
Alternative Route
Take the Tomei Expressway to the Tomei Atsugi IC, and follow National Highway 128 to Hiratsuka. Turn left at the Takahamadai intersection, and follow National Highway 134 for about 15km. Turn left at the Namerigawa intersection.
Parking: Car parking on the prefectural highway is available from 8am to 8.30pm.
