Information of Setsubun-sai (Day before the First of Spring)

Originally, Setsubun refers to “division of seasons”, and nowadays it indicates the eve of the first day of spring (Risshun)

On this day, two special rituals called Meigen (resounding bowstrings) and Mamemaki (scattering beans) are held at the Lower Worship Hall.

For participating in picking-up beans, a numbered ticket will be distributed beforehand.
