Although two years has already passed since a great earthquake occurred in the eastern Japan, there still are a lot of victims suffering from living under difficult conditions.

On 23rd October, Todai-ji temple and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu dedicated the prayer for the victims and reconstruction in a joint ritual. The shrine maidens, from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, offered a sacred dance called Urayasu no mai. This dance contains the prayer for keeping the peace of seas around Japan. Then Buddhist monk of Todai-ji dedicated the sutra called Daihannyakyo. This sutra means defending the nation against evils.

Also this time, Halau O Kekuhi, the heirs of classic hula came and dedicated prayer for the reconstruction through their dance. The classic hula was very energetic, and it reached the hearts of the audience.
