Performance of Mikagura at Nippon Seinen-kan Hall

民俗芸能大会.pngShinto priests of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu performed mikagura at Nippon Seinen-kan Hall on 23rd November.

Mikagura is a performance of classical ceremonial music and dance. In Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, it is usually conducted only on 16th December, the shrine’s foundation day, but it was performed specially for a convention held at the hall.

This annual convention was aimed to protect and promote folk performing arts of all over Japan. Mikagura of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and 3 other performances were presented this year.
