Tsurugaoka Intellectual Salon was held on 10th July

The 5th Tsurugaoka Intellectual Salon was held on 10th July.
This year, TIS titled “Japanese Hospitality in Shinto Tradition” focuses on Shinsen, Prayer and Food Offerings to kami. About 20 people, including the United Mexican States embassy officials and international students attended.

Firstly Rev. Shigeho Yoshida, Chief Priest of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, gave a lecture about Shinsen. Then, Rev. Hisayasu Sakakibara, Chief Priest of Haraegasaki Inari Shrine, led a workshop “The Art of Cutout Kiriko”.
After the workshop, participants looked delicate and beautiful Kiriko work by Mr. Sakakibara, they enjoyed cutting Kiriko.
Participants felt Japanese culture and Hospitality in Shinto tradition.
