The completion ceremony of Portland Japanese Garden Cultural Crossing Village was held on 1 April 2017

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu sent a delegation of priests and shrine maidens led by the chief priest to conduct the completion ceremony of the Cultural Crossing Village in the Portland Japanese Garden.

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu conducted the ground breaking ceremony at the beginning of the construction of the Cultural Crossing Village in August 2015. The construction had completed in this spring, and the Cultural Crossing Village was celebrated its Grand Opening on 1 April 2017.

In the completion ceremony, Shinto priests purified the newly opened site and buildings, and then the chief priest prayed for the protection of the kami and future success and progress of the Cultural Crossing Village. In addition to the ceremony, the shrine maidens performed kagura dances for blessing and celebration.
