Medical doctors from Jiangsu Province of China visited Tsurugaoka Hachimangu

On 29th October, 14 Chinese medical doctors from Jiangsu, escorted by Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE), visited Tsurugaoka Hachimangu as a part of cultural exchange program.

Firstly, they attended the Shinto ceremony held in the main shrine, and heard about Shinto and Japanese traditional culture from Vice Chief Priest of the shrine. .

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and Jiangsu Province has maintained good relationship for long years, and in 1984 the Chinese gevernment presented Taihu stones for the peoney garden at Tsrugugaoka Hachimangu. The doctors were impresively seeing the peoney garden and Taihu stone which was designed in Chinese traditional style by Chinese gardeners.
