Yakuyoke-dai-kito (Apotropaic Ritual to Expel Evil Spirits) was held

Yakuyoke-dai-kito (Apotropaic Ritual to Expel Evil Spirits) was held on the Lower Worship Hall for 7 days, from 25th to 31st January.

In the ritual, Shinto priests offered apotropaic liturgy followed by shrine maiden’s dance “Hamakagura”. After the ritual, attendees put ofuda in the flame to pray for avoiding misfortune and calling good fortune.
